About

Designer by training. Founder by instinct. Leader by choice.

I started in agencies and small studios, designing for brands like American Express and Microsoft. I also launched my own clothing company, which taught me more about building something from nothing than any job has. Since then I’ve spent most of my career in ecommerce, from fine jewelry to automotive to retail.

At Blue Nile I grew from UI designer to Senior UX Design Manager over seven years. At Fair and Shift I led the design of a fully online car-buying experience through an acquisition. At AutoNation I was the founding designer on a 0→1 subscription business, then led the team behind the company’s first design system and first AI dealer tool. I led UX at Tractor Supply on contract before joining Midwestern Interactive, where I lead a remote team of eight and became the agency’s first design engineer and first spatial UX designer.

Today I’m focused on where design systems and AI meet: building systems that people and machines can build with, and teams that know how to use them.

“…hands-down one of the best thinkers, collaborators, leaders and talented product designers that I have worked with in my career.”
